Monash Talent Time

I do not know how I got myself into this but it's about 1 - 2 weeks ago, I became my Ken's supporting actress in his talent time show. All I could ever remember was he telling me that his friend couldn't do it and I have to do it. Saying yes or no was not an option. I freaked out at first, afraid that if I screw this up, I would practically ruin his whole performance. Furthermore, I am too old to be part of stuff like this. A bit paiseh lah. I was nervous and practically have no idea what I am about to do. The funniest bit was what Ken wanted me to do. I still couldn't believe I actually did what I did ok! We had 2 practices and that was it!

The performance was last Friday. Eli came to support us. Heart was pumping. *breathe in, breathe out*.

Ken's performance is based on a story of a survivor. He dance to a mashed up of I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor, SOS by Rihanna, Bangra, Ran Kan Kan and last but not least we did a drama thingy together to the tune I Will Follow Him. I was supposed to be a girl that he like, he was chasing after me. To me, he is very annoying and I kept on pushing him away. At the end he gave me a rose (which a lot of people thought it was a ring) which I practically throw it back at him and walk off. There he was crying and feeling all abandoned. I behtahan him I ended up coming back and comforting him by offering him a piece of tissue paper. But he wanted to manja, I had to pull his ears and get him off the stage. Ken practically got the whole crowd laughing.

Me: "NO! I don't love you. Don't you get it?"
Ken: "Don't leave me!"

Me: "Gosh! He is crazy!"
Ken: "I love you...and where you go I'll follow..."

Me: "Nah...tissue ah"Ken: "sob sob...don't want!"
Me: *pulling his ears* "go home lah!! 1, 2, 3, BOW!"
Ken: "sob sob"

Yeah...the whole performance was dramatic. As what I said in the voice over "aijoh, ah ma is so proud of you...your performance is very very good". Gosh! Typing this post makes me think back the real thing and I can't help but to smile. With the effort that he has put in, all the hard work...I am glad that he actually won the solo performance and the most popular award!!! *clap clap clap* I'm really happy for him.

Ken receiving his prize.

The trademark of the performance I would say...me pulling my Ken's ear
