Reasons why you never tell your parents (especially mothers) when you are in a car accident...1. They will tell you that it's your fault (even though it is not)
I still remember my first accident at Jln Loke Yew (in front of UE3). A wira hit my back and I call dad to ask for help. Instead of telling me what to do, I got scolding instead for the whole incident. Sigh...first time in accident already kena marah, do you think the next time I'll call again if anything happens? I ended up calling my friends instead
2. They will make a big deal out of it by telling your other relatives
YUP!!! Mom loves to do that! Anything happens, any plans or things that you do, she will get on the hotline and start making phone calls to my aunt about what happened. In just less than an hour, my relatives will know that I am in a car accident.
3. Reminding you of your so called bad driving skills
You will be reminded of those times on how you used to be a speedy Gonzales or Road Runner on the road. You will be reminded again and again how uncivilized are you on the road. They only remember the bad things not the positive stuff.
4. Nagging instead of comforting
The first thing when you get home, go straight to your room (if your parents already find out about your accident). Chances are that they will nag you for your careless driving rather than telling you that things will be ok. I remembered once when I got home, I got scolded for the accident -_-"
Why am I talking about accidents?? Coz I was involved in one today? So much for a new month! I dread going to the police station to get the police report done and getting all the insurance documents sorted. Really troublesome!!!
On the bright side, I had a Worship team / Audio Visual team's appreciation dinner @ Mandarin Oriental just recently. Fun fun fun!
