CNY Dinner @ Hau Kee

It has been a tradition for my friends and I to have a reunion dinner together during Chinese New Year. This year is extremely special because there are almost 30 of us that came for the dinner. Each year the dinner location would change because we love to explore new places and this time we ended up in the famous Hau Kee located in Taman Yulek. Every night the place is crowded with people. Reservations has to be made earlier in order to dine here and walking in is never an option unless you are willing to wait for hours. Due to  lack of parking space around this area, parking is practically a nightmare. Carpooling would be the best option.

Preparing for lou sang

Lou sang! Well wishes for all!

Stir fry Buk choy

Fu yong egg

Kam Heong Lala: Smells so good and exquisite taste

Stir fry veggies in yam basket: My favorite!

Steam fish in assam sauce

Signature tofu: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside

The restaurant is just too small for us

Friends for more than 15 years and still counting

The portion overall is ok and the price is reasonable too. Be it CNY, birthday or other celebration, ordering the food earlier instead of doing it on the spot would be the best idea to avoid waiting for the food to arrive.
