Dutch Invasion @ Pangkor

The crazy dutch traveler finally came back to KL after travelling New Zealand, Australia, Vietnam and Cambodia in 3 months. As usual, finding places that he has yet to explore constantly gives me a headache because he's been almost everywhere in Malaysia and we can never go to the East Coast (just cause he always have to come back to KL end of the year during the monsoon season). With limited time and an adventurous heart, we decided to go to Pangkor Island for a night. Started our journey at 6 a.m. and i

n just about 4 hours, we reached Lumut's jetty where the ferry would take us to the island. Weather was bad in the beginning as it was raining, so we decided to rent a car instead of a bike. Since I did the driving previously, I let the dutch drive instead (it was just plain weird and scary!).

The 'cool' dutch driving on the left side of the road and mixing up the wipers and the indicators at times :P

We did all the touristy stuff - Dutch Fort, Tiger (Lion) Rock, Foo Lin Kong Temple and went around the island in just less than 20 minutes. We quickly check into our accommodation which was really nice before we head off to lunch and just chill at the beach.

Nipah Guesthouse (Cottage for twin sharing)

After a drive around the island again to look for cheaper beers (whenever there is dutch, there must be beer because it is their 'herbal tea' / H20), the next thing I look forward to was just chilling at the beach and see the sunset.

Due to the heat, I started to fall sick in the evening till I slept throughout the whole ferry ride back to Lumut and I have no choice but to let the dutch to drive back to KL. We stop by at Ipoh for some white coffee before heading back to KL. Usually it takes me about 3 1/2 hours from Ipoh-KL but surprise surprise! He broke my record by making it back home in just 2 hours coz he was driving between 140 - 170 km/ph chasing German cars on the highway (all these was while I was sleeping in the car). Thankfully we made it back in one piece.

As much as possible, I kinda wished that I didn't fall sick so that I can enjoy this trip more.
