Encounterfest was awesome tonight. Ps. Kim released me from my duties to go (after helping out to set up). Theme for this year is "United We Stand". A lot of new songs were introduced and some are really good. 'Inside Out' written by Joel Houston is one of my favorite. It's such an inspiration song that touched my life completely.
Thoughts to ponder: How united are we?
To be united, we need to have one heart, one soul to do things together to reach that goal. It is just like a team. But if we treat other people differently; even through the way we speak, the way we act is not projecting the love that we are suppose to have for each other. So how can we be united? If one of the team player is stubborn and personality / character is hard to deal with, are we to give up on them? We are not to give up on each other.
Sometimes I realized that we have so many different groups in our midst; but at the end of the day we are still part of the body of Christ. If we keep on putting boundaries between us, how are we to be united? If we keep on accepting that we are to be how we are today and keep on accepting that people won't change, how are we to be united then? Judah Smith once said that "the time we stop changing is the time we stop becoming the follower of Christ". Are we to give up following up a team player when he / she stop changing and accept that he / she is going to be like that forever? Even if our team is hard to handle and doesn't want to change, we as a team is to encourage, to help when we see opportunity so that our team knows that there is someone out there that cares, that never gives up on me, that is faithful and stand for what they believe in.
Though it may take a lot of time, patience and effort, but the ending is perfect. It is just like sowing the seeds now and waiting for the harvest. Do not give up on each other, stand together and believe that we can be united; people can change, we can change to be better and united we stand for what we believe and set an example to people around us first then to the people out there.
