Singapore Trip with Sis

Sis and I went to Singapore on the weekend. Sis needed to go to Singapore for Phantom of the Opera; while I on the other hand just needed a break. So off we went on Saturday. Sis made me walk from SPK to Corus Hotel (next to Avenue K) after I just took a shower in the gym. Grrr...We took the Aeroline bus which is like the first class kinda bus. The bus was delayed though for about half an hour. We were given complimentary tea and coffee in Corus hotel while waiting for the bus. There is actually a special section for all Aeroline passengers. How nice :D I was getting impatient because my lovely Hillsong collegemates will be fetching me that very evening and I didn't want them to wait for me too long because there's church the next day. The bus is not that bad. On the way there they serve us food lol. A sausage roll and a hot dog. It's not that bad. Sis was still complaining that she is hungry throughout the whole journey! -_-"

Upstairs...

Downstairs...

We reach Singapore at about 9:45 p.m. Mervin and Xing Qi was already waiting there for us when we arrive. Apparently Harbour Front is like down the road from Mervin's church. We went to meet up with Joanna and Ben at Lau Pa Sat. I've been there before during the Hillsong Mission trip. I still remember Steve Jenkins stuffing 10 satays into his mouth at one go. LOL! It was a good trip then; and it still is. Anyways, they ordered like a lot of food. We had kang kung belacan (which is good I must say), fritters, satay, fried rice, fish and cendol. I told the guys not to order too much food and they did hahaha. Xing Qi recommended sugar cane with lemon; it tasted so good. After a feast; Joanna and Ben took us to our hotel. It was an eye opening experience for me I must say. I am practically staying in a hotel right in the middle of Singapore's red light district area; it's like I am living in Jalan Alor or Jalan Imbi in Malaysia. It took us about 30 minutes to check into our hotel room and during that 30 minutes; I saw so many things which I am not going to say hahaha. You just have to ask me for it if you want to know ok. The room is a bit small but at least it is clean and I have ESPN to catch up on some soccer match hahaha.

The next day we went to Takashimaya for lunch. We had Omu rice and gosh! I can't even finish it. By the time I finish my chicken and pasta; I am like so done with my food. I can't even finish the rice wrapped with the omellette. Delicious isn't it?

Sis ditched me at about 1 to go to Esplanade. I went into every major shopping centre along Orchard road for time to pass. I promise Dan that I will buy him a pink polo tee and it took me more than 4 hours to do so because I was so picky. Hahaha. I saw like heaps and heaps of polo tee and they are pink too but I dislike the label on the tee. Some are way too expensive and of course the expensive one definitely look nice. At about 4, I took a cab to Esplanade to wait for sis. I found Max Brenner and I was so excited.

Once sis came out of the theatre, I said hi sis' friends Chloe and Cynthia. Then I told sis about Max Brenner and off we go. I finally get to try Max Brenner. The guys back in Sydney kept on telling me about when I am back in MALAYSIA!!!! LOL. Now I get to try it myself in Singapore. It's nice. Sis and I shared the Belgian waffle because we didn't want to eat so much fattening food if not the 8 kg that I've lose will be gone just like that. Hehe.

Met up with Joanna and her friends at Far East Plaza for a drink. It was fun hanging out with her friends and her as well. We teased her till we couldn't stop laughing anymore. Hehehe. It was great to see my lovely housemate from Aussieland again. Time really flies. I can't believe that we stay together in the same house for a year and now we are back in our own country, moving on with our own lives. Of course, she is still so funny as ever.

After we went our own separate ways, sis had to meet up with her friend Billie for dinner. Apparently she finish work at 9, so we went to Bugis Junction to wait for her. My feet was like super sore. I've never went window shopping for more than 8 hours before. Hahaha. She took us to have fish noodles. It is nice but I still prefer the one in Jalan Alor; the ever famous fish head noodles.

Well, these are the only things that I manage to buy. 2 pack of minties; dad's favourite. They have it in Sydney and dad loves it ever since I bought it for him last time. 1 top from Dorothy Perkins; they were having sales and I manage to find a baby tee for a real good deal; and not forgetting my sunglasses. I love it; it's the last pair. Someone says it looks like ah lian; but I don't think so loh! I think it is cool; and not forgetting Dan's pink polo tee. Hahaha

Next day, my cousin Melissa came to our hotel to look for us. We chatted a while and then Mervin came to pick us up for lunch. We went to Vivo centre (I hope I am right) which is next to Harbour Front; where we were supposed to take our bus. We had a great brunch. I was so stuffed till I reach KL.

I was so bored and was having a headache on the bus. Sis was enjoying her all time favorite junk food - Cheetos. I had a great time throughout the whole trip. Great time and great experience as well. It was a good break for me to be in a different environment; not having to think about work or money or whatever problems that I am going through at the moment. It was good too to meet up with my buddies in Singapore. I had a blast.
