Soon Soon Lye's Salmon Fish Head Noodles

Fish head noodles has always been one of my favorites. I love the springy feeling of the fish paste and the delicious broth which is mixed with wine. Working in KL, I'm so used to the one in Jalan Alor until I was brought to the one in Cheras which I thought was simply delicious! Ever since then I've blacklisted the one in Alor.

Recently a friend of mine brought me here at Soon Soon Lye to try its famous Salmon Fish Head noodles. The varieties are many here. Customers can choose between Salmon, Cod, Ling fish or fish paste accompanied with thin or thick vermicelli. Fresh salmon sashimi fish noodles are only available on weekends.

Sashimi fish noodles are more expensive. It cost about RM15 per bowl but it is simply irresistible! The fresh sashimi are thick and soft and I think RM15 is absolutely worth it. The broth is rich and thick, mixing it with the provided chilli is just heaven! Besides noodles, there are many other ala carte dishes that you can order such as fried fish head, steam tofu, veggies and et cetera.

This particular fish head noodles is different with Wooi Pin in Cheras because of the fish that are used. Both are great and both are my favorite.
