Birthday Dinner @ Yuzu, The Gardens

It was Klevin's birthday recently and a bunch of us came to Yuzu @ The Gardens to celebrate. The portion of the food here are rather small but the taste is good.

California Temaki

Edamane

Handrolls

Chawan Mushi: nothing special about this

Soft Shell Crab & Salmon Skin salad

Bittergourd: Didn't eat this because I hate bittergourd..YUCK!)

Koebi Karage: the squid is LOVELY!

Agedashi Tofu: this is good too

This particular soba that we ordered has to be mixed with a special sauce. The sauce on its own is pretty slimy and eeky (must be because of the egg). To serve it, it has to be mix with wasabi and other condiments.

Soba

I've never tasted any beef as good as this before. A piece is just not enough. You would want the second, third, fourth bite again once you had your first. It's tender, juicy and heaven! This dish is not cheap. Trust me!

Wagyu Saikoro

Nabeyaki Udon

Haagen Dazs was our option for dessert but something caught our attention from the next table so we decided to order it. We tried to find it on the menu but it wasn't there.

Yuku's special dessert

Birthday boy and me

Happy birthday Klev!

The usual suspects

Us again

We we went and chill in Starbucks after dinner and had a great laugh.

We were just chilling

Overall, the food is great but to pay so much for such fine dining especially for a Japanese cuisine, hmmm I have to think twice.
