I was at Bangsar Village II this afternoon with some friends and a baby. We were hanging out in Borders and we pass by this particular restaurant - Canoodling noodle bar. The whole interior gave me an impression that it will not be cheap to dine here. Surprise! Surprise! I was prov
en wrong! Each bowl of noodles are priced between RM9.90 to RM 12.90, while the appetizers and salads price range are between RM3.90 up to about RM11.90.
Appetizers

Fried Bean Curd: Stuffed with fish paste, very tasty.

Fried squid: It taste good but a little disappointed that it was not crispy.
Noodles

Beef Brisket noodles: The broth is sweet and tasty. Beef is tender.

Curry Laksa: Absolutely delicious! Very addictive. (Highly recommended)
It didn't take long for our food to arrive. The only thing that kept me waiting was my Tom Yam noodles. The excuse given to me was that they need time to prepare the broth. I waited patiently. My friends and I thought that if it take such a long time to prepare, it must taste really good. When my noodles came, I thought that it would be super spicy. The clear broth Tom Yam are well known for its spiciness.

Tom Yam Noodles: Disappointing :(
Sadly, I was completely disappointed. The broth tastes like water and there were not much Tom Yam taste at all. I asked the waiter if the taste is meant to be like that (maybe the chef forgotten some spices or salt?). She took it back and kept me waiting for another 5 - 7 minutes before they return the bowl of noodles to me. This time, it was so sour that it just gives me a knot in my stomach. I can't be bothered to finish it for it was too sour.
Overall, the atmosphere, the interior is very comfortable and homey. The price is affordable and reasonable. The food taste good except for the disappointing Tom Yam noodles.
