Bethel University Wind Symphony

Ever thought of enjoying a wind symphony performance for free? Well, I definitely did tonight. The Bethel University Wind Symphony arrived Malaysia earlier this week and I finally met them this afternoon. In the midst of getting ready to speak in ROCK, all the instruments (especially the big ones) were brought in safely into the main hall. Dr. Steven Thompson, the conductor and the leader for the group whom I met last year was here too.

Despite the crazy city traffic here in the heart of KL, it didn't stop the people from coming. We had almost about 380 people that came tonight. I was really nervous being the host for the night (I dislike speaking in front of an audience!). The performance was good. I love the arrangement where they did a medley on the Asian favorites e.g. Lenggang Kangkung. I felt like I was in MPO instead of my church sanctuary. For a bunch of students to perform such standard, I think they are amazing.
