It's MOVIE NIGHT OUT!!!!!!!! Been wanting to watch the Green Lantern for ages since it came out. But due to the BWA Conference I had to put it on hold and finally I get to watch it last night! Before the movie, Vietnam Kitchen was my first stop for dinner. I always enjoy the Lemongrass Chicken and the Beef noodles here; not forgetting their water chestnut drinks. It was so delicious!
Water chestnut drink - My favorite
My friend and I ordered the set meal. He had the Lemongrass Chicken while I had the Lemongrass Pork. The set meal came with soup of the day - salted vege, spring roll, kim chi (I had no idea how kim chi is related to Vietnamese cuisine), fried egg together with a bowl of rice.
The pork was a little dry and tough. I'd still prefer the chicken which is more tender and juicy.
The beef noodles here are served separately with the sprouts and other condiments which I like because I do not like sprouts in my noodles. The broth is simply delicious and the beef is tender.
After dinner, we proceeded to our movie. I had a high expectation in this movie which was why I was left disappointed. I expected to see more action in this movie rather than just Ryan Reynolds fighting the bad guy coz it just doesn't make sense. If the other Green Lantern corps can't fight the villain, how can an inexperienced one does it? It just a little too not logic. The only thing that excites me in this movie is Ryan himself. He is soooo hot in this movie. Right?
