Lucky Dessert @ Sunway Giza

Yesterday after work, Eli and I took mama and Elisha out to Sunway Giza together with 2 of my friends. Just over the weekend we were told about a dessert stall originated from Hong Kong located around here. So we decided to hunt for it and after a few twist and turn around the mall, we finally found it!

Lucky Dessert is one of the most well known dessert place in Hong Kong. It serves many different variety of desserts and it is different from other traditional dessert places. Their most famous dessert is the 'Mango Puff Rolls', 'Durian Chinese Jelly', 'Sago Dessert with Mango and Melon' and 'Mango pancake'. Sunway Giza is Lucky Dessert's 10th outlet (9 in Hong Kong). Currently there's a special promotion going on. 2 person's dessert cost Rm16.90. Here are some of the food we had that day

Peanut mochi: warm, soft and very nice to chew on

Trinity Mango Delight: superbly nice! This dessert is served with pomelo bits and sago. It's creamy BUT it is not filling or too thick. It is just perfect. The aroma is awesome and it's simply delicious. One bowl is just not enough!

Mango Roll: Simply delicious; not too sweet.
Black Sesame: The only dessert which I dislike. There seems to be a burnt smell. According to the chef, real black sesame has such taste. True or not, my conclusion is that I dislike it.

Banana Crisp: The pastry is extremely crunchy. A perfect combination.

Durian Wrap: So yummy!

This place is not hard to find if you know Giza Mall well. Based on the quality of the desserts, it is not too expensive at all. If you are looking for some genuine Hong Kong styled dessert, this is definitely the best place to be.
