Market Hall @ Pavilion

Finding a place to eat in Pavilion seems to be more difficult lately. Just a couple of months ago, a few friends and I were looking for a place for dinner. We were heading to Din Tai Fung but ended up in this new place called Market Hall which serves hearty Italian cuisine. Restaurant during the day and a lounge late at night facing the beautiful KL skyline, Market Hall is definitely the newest place to hangout nowadays. We were greeted warmly by the hostess. A simple decorated restaurant but with some creativity, it gives customers a warm and cosy atmosphere. Tables and chairs are made of solid wood. High or normal table and chairs are an option for customers for their dining experience.

We were served with some bread and salsa which tasted really good. The salsa is made of fresh tomatoes rather than off the shelves.

Appetizer: Yummy salsa and bread

We were brief by the warm and friendly waiter on the Daily Specials. It took us some time to order what we wanted just coz we have no idea what to eat (LOL!) We finally decided on these 3 dishes...

Daily Specials - Fresh Clams: The broth is really nice.

Paella - A spicy Spanish rice: It was meant to be for two person, but the portion is catered more for one person instead.

Chicken Roulade: Very delicious but the portion is a little too little. Not worth what you paid for.

The food overall taste is alright but I personally think it is rather pricey for the portion that were given. But the experience and atmosphere was good. After the meal, you could browse their kitchen essential items near the entrance. They sell pots and pans and even spices, sauces and herbs.
